Parking:

For a lot of reasons, the Chicken Ranch is tucked away up in a little cubbyhole (some call them cul-de-sac's) and there's not much room for parking vehicles larger than a skateboard.  So vehicle parking will be along Teller Boulevard, a 4-lane but lightly traveled divided boulevard only a short walk (or trot if you prefer) to the front entrance (or side entrance if you would like to keep a low profile).
There will be signs and clues to help you locate the party.  And yes, you can pull into the cul-de-sac to load and unload.

Meet & Greet:

A number of attendees will be arriving in town one or two days early.  Some of these folks are accustomed to starting their celebrating hours or even days before the official party.  Therefore, in order to liven up things, there will be an informal Meet & Greet at El Palenque Mexican Restaurant just up the street from the Chicken Ranch and the host hotel.  It's a favorite hangout.  The food is good the Margaritas are good and the service is good.  So we're thinking Friday at 6:00 PM local time would be a good time for all of us to merge there for a few sips and dips and dinner.  You're on your own for what you eat and drink.  The poor economy has put a dent in how much 'fun money' we have laying around.

We'll need a head count by then so we can alert them to our little group of probably 20 to 26.

Here's their web site:

Food and Drink:

We will have lots of food and drinks available including water, sodas, beer, wine and margaritas.  But it will be limited in brand and quantity.  So if you have any special items you would like to eat or drink, or share with others, bring it on.  We should have plenty of ice and places to keep it cold.  If it is something you plan to cook or serve something you already cooked, you probably should take steps to keep it cold or hot until serving time.

Safety:

This is a residential neighborhood with a lot of children of all ages.  We try hard to keep things tidy and obey all the laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, politeness and common-sense to keep it that way.  Safety is of utmost importance to all of us, as it should be.  So please be extra observant and careful, and obey the posted speed limits (20 mph) throughout the neighborhood.  And, although there will be adult beverages available at the restaurant and party, there is no need for you to operate a vehicle after consuming them if you plan well.  First of all, enjoy your beverage, but in moderation. And making arrangements for a designated driver ahead of time is not only a good thing, it is strongly recommended and appreciated.
